If you don't believe me, then how about the experts at Orbitz.com? In September 2007, Orbitz ranked the Texas Hill Country wine area as second in the nation only behind Napa Valley for Wineries.
With its unique climate and soils, award winning wines are being produced right here in the Highland Lakes area. Make it a point to visit one or more.
Several have "wine clubs" that you can sign up for and the wineries will keep you informed about special events they offer.
